Hey Everyone,

I just got back from my whirlwind trip to Verona, New York where I played with Jim Courier, John McEnroe and Tracy Austin for ‘A Legendary Night of Tennis’ and helped kick off the opening of a new sports complex. The complex is at the Turningstone Resort and Casino, and it has indoor tennis courts and a golf driving range for those extreme cold temps when you can’t play outside.

The day started off with a press conference and ribbon cutting ceremony for the complex (check out the video blogs we just loaded) and clinic which I did with Jim. I have to say some of the people participating in the clinic were pretty good.

Then it was off to the main event that started with Jim and John playing singles, and after watching them play for an hour and half (they are both still in such great shape!) we played 2 sets and a super tiebreaker of mixed, with me and John vs. Tracy and Jim. I just love playing with all of them, we have so much fun on the court together! In the end John and I were able to pull it out and win the match! It was great practice for World Team Tennis in July, and also for my upcoming trips to the Czech Republic and Germany.

My next “charitable” road trip is to Germany and Turkey with the USO, which I am really looking forward to as my experience in Guam was amazing. I can’t wait to meet all the people and especially spend some time with the kids.
